Bijoy Bayanno is a lightweight but incredibly useful office and text entry system utility that enables users to directly type Bangla and Bengali characters with a normal international PC keyboard. Originally developed by Mustafa Jabbar in 2009 to enable anyone to more easily enter the text that is fully compatible with Unicode standard, today this application represents one of the easiest and simplest ways to perform Bangla and Bengali text entry on modern PCs. It’s similar to Avro Keyboard Unicode/ANSI supported Bangla typing software & Spell Checker for PC.

The app does not require an internet connection to work and supports easy switching between English and Bengla languageless. Users can work with Unicode, Non-Unicode, or ANSI standard, and simplify the text entry with built-in phrase text entry that is offered in the accompanying PDF listing.
Bijoy Bayanno can be deployed on any modern PC with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed. The app is distributed as a ZIP archive, that requires users to unpack the app to the desired local directory. To take full advantage of the app, users must input an activation key that is provided with the app. The user interface of the app showcases the virtual layout of the keyboard with the Bangla character icons. Users can easily type Bangla words, and see the real-time listing of the suggested words, terms, and phrases.
The app is optimized for use in an offline environment, supports phrase shortcuts, and can be used on all modern versions of Windows OS. However, it lacks any type of advanced customization and is not open source so its development is stalled. In its current state, the app is often recommended to non-demanding users who are satisfied with basic options and streamlined text entry.
